My name is Daniel Katsanovich. I’m 16 years old, born on October 31, 2008, from Los Angeles, California.
I’m a dedicated dual-sport athlete, passionate about both soccer and swimming.
My soccer journey began at just 3 years old, when my dad first took me to the park to kick around a ball — I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m a loyal supporter of Chelsea FC and have admired players like Oscar and James Rodríguez since childhood. Today, I study and learn from talents like Pedri, Vitinha, Dani Olmo, Martin Ødegaard and Nicolò Barella to improve my game.
In my sophomore year, I moved to Madrid where I lived and played for 1 year and maintained a 4.3 GPA, balancing academics with athletics. Outside of sports, I enjoy playing padel and tennis, traveling with my family, and exploring new cuisines. I’m also a huge NFL fan — especially devoted to the San Francisco 49ers.
I started my soccer career under the guidance of Alexander Khopsalis, a legendary former Dynamo Kyiv player. Currently outside of my club I train with www.mles-academy.com & Marcel Lowitsch, my other coaches include Eliel Swinton (@coacheswinton9), a former Stanford and Kansas City Chiefs football player, and Alexis Lawson (@revivedwithalexis), who oversee my gym work during the offseason.
